| Conventional TVS | SUPER CLAMP | |
| Clamping behavior | Higher Vc as pulse current increases | Lower, stable Vc |
| Circuit stress | Higher voltage stress | Lower voltage stress |
| Surge capability | Conventional IPP | Higher IPP capability |
| Example, DO-218AB | 170 A | 300 A |
Additonally, SUPER CLAMP series can handle much higher pulse currents within the same package size,
such as DO-218AB: 300A v.s. 170A, making it an ideal choice for high-performance applications.

| Part Number | Package | VWM (V) | VBR (V) | Max IPPM (A) | VC clamping (V) |
| LSMC24CAH | DO-214AB (SMC) | 24 | 29.5 – 32.5 | 170 | 24 |
| LSMB24CAH | DO-214AA (SMB) | 31.0 – 35.0 | 45 | ||
| LTD7S24CAH | DO-218AB | 26.7 – 29.5 | 300 |
The LTD7S24CAH protects 24V/48V powertrain DC-Link capacitors. Its ultra-low clamping voltage and 300A surge capability reduce component overdesign, board space, and overall BOM costs.
Featuring a BJT structure, Super Clamp TVS delivers an exceptionally low clamping ratio and superior temperature stability, allowing BLDC motor drives to adopt lower-voltage MOSFETs and capacitors.
Snapback TVS technology lowers clamping voltage during surges. With rapid response, high repetitive endurance, and low temperature drift, it eliminates overdesign across automotive, telecom, and industrial applications.
